WHO WE ARE
Boys & Girls Clubs of Grand Rapids and Greenway is staffed by more than 20 youth development professional staff members, supplemented by part-time volunteers, and a driving board of directors. Our two Club sites provide supportive services to youth ages 5 (must have attended at least one day of Kindergarten) through 18 in the Itasca County area.

To empower and inspire all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as caring, productive, responsible citizens.
At Boys & Girls Clubs of Grand Rapids & Greenway, we are dedicated to ensuring that our community’s youth have greater access to quality programs and services that will empower their lives and build great futures. The Club Experience offers daily access to a broad range of programs that promote academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.
Hundreds of youth in our communities take advantage of the programs, activities, and services provided by Boys & Girls Clubs of Grand Rapids and Greenway. Our kids benefit from trained, caring, professional staff and volunteers who help them enrich their lives, envision their goals, and achieve great futures.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Grand Rapids and Greenway are 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) that provide expanded academic learning for young people out of school. This is a space for students to enhance and reinforce academic lessons of the regular school day, while also allowing them to learn new skills and discover new opportunities after the school day has ended. We provide experiences that are designed to meet local and state academic standards in subjects such as
reading and math. Project-based learning is the core to the21st CCLC programming and include tutoring, homework help, remedial work, enrichment opportunities, leadership, and the arts. Federal funds allow us to provide tutoring services, social-emotional support, high-yield learning activities, and offer programs that complement our academic programs and enhance and enrich participation and learning.
